I met Teri in June of 1990, the first summer I spent as a resident of California. I'd just been hired at Rainbow, a cooperative health food store in the Mission District of San Francisco, and Teri worked in the General Store as the clothes buyer. Teri is about 5 years older than me, and back then that age gap seemed huge. She was my older, wiser friend.
It was Teri that warned me about my Saturn Return, that time between the ages of about 28 - 32 when your whole life changes. At the time, I was like, "Yeah, right. Saturn Return! I'm so sure." Turns out Teri was absolutely correct, and those 4 years were pivotal ones for me. Thanks for the heads up, Teri.
