About the author:
bell hooks (1952–2021) was a feminist author, educator, and cultural critic whose writing made complex ideas accessible, urgent, and alive. Through groundbreaking books like Ain’t I a Woman?, Feminism Is for Everybody, and All About Love, she challenged systems of domination while insisting on empathy, accountability, and radical care. She intentionally wrote her name in lowercase to center ideas over ego.
